Project Summary

ADRIAMOVE is a project focused on enhancing accessible and sustainable means of transport in the Adriatic-Ionian region. By implementing innovative pilot actions in the Adriatic-Ionian regions such as Italy, Slovenia, Croatia, Albania, Montenegro, and Bosnia-Herzegovina, the project aims to have a positive impact on sustainable mobility and develop solutions for the Programme area. The project targets various groups, including the general public, educational institutions, economic and touristic operators and public authorities. Initially, the project focuses on gaining a comprehensive understanding of the regional context and challenges in sustainable mobility, while also fostering the exchange of best practices. International and local training sessions will empower partners and stakeholders with essential knowledge on multimodal sustainable mobility. Following this, the partners will carry out pilot action activities, implementing different sustainable transportation systems tailored to the unique needs of each region. These pilot actions will be tested and assessed to evaluate their feasibility and impact in the partners' territories. In its final phase, ADRIAMOVE will concentrate on significantly boosting awareness, stakeholder engagement, and strategic planning for sustainable and intermodal mobility. Through targeted training and awareness-raising activities, partners will actively involve the identified target groups. Furthermore, sustained efforts will continue through the Transnational Permanent Advisory Board on Sustainable and Intermodal Mobility, established under the umbrella of ADRIAMOVE. With its cross-border activities, ADRIAMOVE aims to develop a comprehensive understanding of the regions' mobility context and identify common challenges and opportunities. Through strong cooperation within the partnership and with stakeholders, ADRIAMOVE will contribute to improved mobility practices in the project areas.
